Markus Hipfl was a successful player in his youth:
• Orange Bowl Champion U16 (unofficial Junior WC)
• Finalist US Open in the Juniors
• Professional: best ATP position Number 63, many years of playing Davis Cup for Austria
• Working as a trainer since 2006: Training as an ÖTV Tennis instructor – Experience of working with all age groups, from beginner to professional – has trained professionals such as Gerald Melzer, Jürgen Melzer, top German player Philipp Kohlschreiber, and currently Swiss players Jérôme Kym and Yannick Penkner, as well as his nephew Nico Hipfl and, since 2025, Joel Schwärzler.
